Responsibilities & Job Description

  • Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules, overseeing delivery and equipment schedules, maintaining purchase records.
  • Costing inventory parts which includes calculating square footage and entering information into Foundations software system.
  • Matching up packing slips with invoices and resolving any issues.
  • New vendor setup which consists of obtaining a W-9 from vendor, entering information into Foundations and informing accounting department of mailing address.
  • Assist with yearly inventory and maintaining inventory levels for highly used products and supplies.
  • Updating order spreadsheets and creating new procedures and processes to be more efficient.
  • Attend the production meeting and update Project Managers of any shipping issues
  • Communicate with Project Managers of any supplier issues
  • Handling freight claims and any order issues such as backorders or pricing.
  • Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolving shipping errors.
  • Interviewing vendors and visiting facilities to learn about products, services, and pricing. Along with, setting up meet and greets with Project Managers to discuss new products.
  • Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria.
  • Negotiating lead times and pricing in conjunction with project managers.

General Requirements

  • Must have at least a High School Diploma
  • Strong math skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Must be detail oriented & highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft office knowledge – excel, word and outlook
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Clean MVR
